Liability Waiver


 

By choosing to participate in the classes offered by Sophia Rosa King, be those live classes or classes undertaken by oneself from the database archive, I hereby acknowledge that Sophia Rosa King can accept no liability for damages or personal injury related to participation, and my awareness that; the classes will instruct me to undertake exercise which will induce physical exertion, that undertaking classes of such nature carry a risk of potential physical injury, that one is aware of the risks and hazards associated with undertaking exercise remotely and that a risk assessment of the area within which one will be exercising is suitable for such activity,

Undertaking exercise should always be preceded by consulting your doctor or physician to ensure the suitability of the exercise, this is especially true for anyone who has underlying health issues or concerns. The exercise classes provided by Sophia Rosa King should not be considered a substitute for any medical treatment or counselling. Although Sophia Rosa King asks all participants to explicitly share any health issues and concerns one should not assume the classes provided are in any way specifically tailored to your needs. As such one should only perform exercises one feels comfortable performing within the bounds of one’s current health.

In addition to the above point regarding one’s health, Sophia Rosa King advises anyone who is pregnant and wanting to partake in exercise to take additional care. Again advise should be sought from ones doctor or physician prior to undertaking classes with Sophia Rosa King. It is not recommended to partake in Pilates between 8 to 14 weeks of pregnancy. It is also advisable to wait six weeks after birth and seeking medical advice from either your midwife, doctor, or physician prior to resuming any exercise programme, including Pilates.

Sophia Rosa King’s training programmes are not specifically customized for pre or post-natal Pilates or any specific condition unless specified. Pilates is a very safe method of exercise however as with all exercise, especially for those with specific conditions and injuries it is sensible to consult with your doctor before beginning sessions. It is advisable to consult with a doctor or physician before starting any new exercise programme and follow their individual safety recommendations.

Having read the above I confirm that I voluntarily accept all and any risk associated with partaking in the classes provided by Sophia Rosa King, be those live or from the database archive. I confirm that I am physically fit and able with no medical condition which would prevent one from participating in the classes. And that by participating I understand and agree that Sophia Rosa King accepts no liability to you for any injury or loss you may suffer in connection with the classes Sophia Rosa King offers.

I understand the use of any information provided by Sophia Rosa King is to be used solely at one’s own risk and I voluntarily agree to the above liability waiver and terms and conditions under my own free will.
